This resin is ideal for use in aeromodelling. It is compatible with PU foams, polystyrene, etc...
New hardener formulation with improved properties
-Without DETA
-Low viscosity, free of solvents and fillers
-Rapid impregnation of glass, aramid and carbon fibers
-Hardening without touching even the thinnest layers
-High static and dynamic resistance*
-Better milling edge quality
-Increase in thermal deformation temperature after thermal hardening
* Higher rigidity (+ approx. 17%), higher resistance tendency
Treatment at room temperature. An optional thermal hardening of 15 h at 100°C. further significantly improves the resistance values and the heat deformation temperature.
The epoxy resin L, combined with the hardener EPH 161, has excellent mechanical properties as required, for example, in aircraft construction. However, aviation approval is not given.
TÜV-Süd (German equivalent of APAVE) tested the system in various laminated structures and determined its suitability for vehicle construction.
Treatment time: 90 minutes (100 g / 20 °C)
Curing time: 24 hours at room temperature, optional subsequent hot curing
Thermal deformation temperature: approx. 70 °C to 23 °C (up to a maximum of 120 °C with an additional 15 h of thermosetting at 100 °C)
Mixing rate:
